MX150 image freeze on linux with drivers version more than 550

I’m just here to leave my experience with nvidia and my laptop
I’ve tried negativo and rpmfusion, results the same. I’ve searched over google and I’ve seen similar problems related to mx150 and newer drivers, even here there is post about ubuntu and nonworking driver where solution was install 550 driver(from official distribution but it doesn’t matter).
In my case it is in game image freezes, games with vulkan support freezes immediately after launch, older games can freeze just after few minutes, music continue to play on background. And always rollback to 550 fixies that behaviour, I’ve tried 560 565 570 all acting in the same way.

Basically what I’m saying that nvidia driver is broken for a long time in case if you have mx150 on linux

I don’t know if it’s related or not, but 560 was when widespread introduction of the open kernel modules were introduced.

The Mx150 is not compatible with them, so you need to ensure you’re using the proprietary driver. See details here.

yeah, that the first what I’ve soled when updated on negativo repo where they defaulted to open. but in such case it simply doesn’t work, after switching to prop I got the freezes.

I have checked previous boots, I don’t see any similar to mentioned in this post
