My Orin NX cannot communicate via USB Type-C and also does not boot

I am currently using this product. >>

After failing to install JetPack 5.1.3, I am unable to communicate via USB Type-C and also cannot boot.

I initialized the SSD using sudo rm -rf and formatted it, keeping it as ext4.

I will attach the minicom message file obtained through the serial console connection.

I don’t know how to save the output I received from minicom in its entirety, so I copied it directly.

Please tell me how to save the output I received from minicom to a file.

Hi,
Please check with the vendor to re-flash the system. It seems like you may corrupt the rootfs by running sudo rm -rf

This is a developer kit. It seems that NVIDIA can provide information on how to reflash it. Could you please let me know how to reflash it? Also, currently, it is not possible to connect the board to the host PC via C-type communication. We need to resolve this issue before we can reflash it.

Please let me know how to initialize the board through recovery mode in the developer kit.

Hi,
The device only can be re-flashed when connecting to a Ubuntu host PC. Please have a host PC and connect the device via a type-C to type-A cable.

And please get developer kit user guide from download center. There are steps to let developer kit enter recovery mode.

I can’t connect to the host PC through the Type C to Type A cable because the Type C port on the Jetson board is not functioning properly. Therefore, I said that I need to resolve this issue first.

Is it okay if the C type port does not function properly in recovery mode?

Hi,
It is a hard requirement that the device can enter recovery mode. If not, the board may be physically broken and suggest consult the board vendor for replacement.
