need accelerated encoding plugin in DS 4.0

It seems there is no encode plugin in DS 3.0 with GPU accelerated, will it exist in DS 4.0 ? when will the 4.0 release ? Thanks!

Our team has worked on application with DS 3.0 and everything works fine except encoding preformance(we use x264_enc in our application), is it easy to change to DS 4.0 to use accelerated encoding plugin?

In DS4.0, there is gst-V4L2 based H265 + H264 encode and decode.

4.0 release will be in mid of July.

I think it’s not difficult. Mainly change of your application porting should be the gst metadata. Some elements factory name and properties also have changes.
