@VickNV thanks for the update. I installed the newest DOS and DW on my host and target already. I see that many DAV components are removed from the release such like DriveNet, LaneNet … etc. I’m very curios when DAV will be released. Because my application is written base on DS 10.0.0 and depends on all DNN networks. :) so…a suitable DAV will be helpful to encourage me upgrade the environment.
Thanks @ming.lu and @VickNV Yes I am looking at option to upgrade, but the fact that DriveNet examples are not available bothers me, as we have a bunch of applications written based on DW 2.2 for DOS 10.0.
On the other front, I am really don’t find any examples/starting point for writing a own decoder for Radar, to start from the API is a concern especially when it comes to debugging.
It would be great if NVIDIA can provide a simple example here…

I wrote plugins for radar and lidar and I thought it was pretty straightforward although the docs could definitely be improved. I recommend you guys do a “decoder only plugin”. That is easy since you don’t need to do buffer management. Just copy-paste the function specs in the dw/sensors/plugins/radar/RadarDecoder.h header into a cpp project, add the implementations, build it as a separate library, and write a test program to load it up. Lots of print statements to figure out what is going on since the docs are a little sparse.
extra tip: as OP noted, without a plugin the radar will load but not be processed correctly. Turn off data decoding and serialize the UDP packets through Driveworks. Now you can test your decoder via replay of raw data, just change the parameters to load your custom so plugin.
