I just received a developer pac and before I unbox and start setting it up does anybody know what firmware it comes from the factory? I just received it new Jan 2026.
Hello,
Thanks for visiting the NVIDIA Developer Forums.
To ensure better visibility and support, I’ve moved your post to the Jetson category where it’s more appropriate
Cheers,
Tom
The release from factory isn’t usually predictable, and is usually out of date. Flashing it would be advised. However, L4T (the actual software which is flashed, which is in turn Ubuntu plus NVIDIA content when combined), when in the form of an SD card image for models without eMMC, will mostly work on any any firmware which is the same major release as the content on the Jetson. For example, any L4T R36.x should work with an R36.x flashed Orin Nano, and mixing L4T R35.x would be expected to fail. If you were to put the newest compatible release on an SD card and it works, then you have your answer; if not, then downgrade to the next older release. See

Thank you for your quick turnaround and Deb response. I do appreciate it.
