Newbie question regarding visual studio and cuda by example

OK My visual studio is telling me that the identifier “add” is not defined, as in add<<<N,1>>>( dev_a, dev_b, dev_c ). The handle error and CudaMallocs are working just fine as far as I can tell. I have the dependencies set on Cuda 11, using visual studio 2019 with desktop c++ installed and I have the CUDA toolkit installed. My file includes are
#include <cuda_runtime.h>;
#include
#include “c:\Users\jshel\documents\programming\common\book.h”

Is there a header I am missing? I do not understand why cudaMalloc is working but add is undefined for the CUDA Functions?

Hi!

try to include “device_launch_parameters.h” after “cuda_runtime.h”.

Hope this works!
