Night vision / IR camera options and settings for the Jetson Nano

Hi,

I’m looking for some suggestions for night vision / low light / IR cameras and settings compatible with the Jetson Nano.

We’re currently testing with the IMX219 160 IR camera from Waveshare. Our images in low light scenes are very noisy:

Even when we use IR light to brighten the scene, the noise is there. We’ve tried using different gain, exposure, and digital gain settings to combat the noise, and while the noise is reduced somewhat, it seems to persist.

Has anyone had success with night vision cameras compatible with the Jetson Nano? What is your camera and configuration?

Maybe consult with camera partner for image tuning would help on that.
