No available driver packages for RTX 4080

According to the release notes none of the latest available NVidia drivers (520, 525) are supporting RTX 4080 devices.

Moreover, driver 520 is broken and fails on boot, apparently a long known, unfixed bug, and driver 525 is not present in NVidias developer deb repository. So even if I’d like to give those a shot, I’m not able to.

So, what are we supposed to do, NVIDIA?

I just got a 4080 and plopped it into my Ubuntu server only to discover this exact issue. I imagine they will have drivers out soon but some kind of official date would be nice

Same situation here - purchased a 4080, was excited to use it, and dissapointed that I am not able to. This is not customer-friendly behaviour.

Update: thanks to the hint from Youtube Channel to showcase the RTX 4090 on Linux, I installed the 525 driver manually and was able to make use of the card.
