No board detected message

I’ve been trying to install the development environment for Jetson AGX XAVIER through the VM, but I got the “No board connected” message in step 3 (the setup process) , although I connected the Jetson to my pc using USB connection.
I tried to unplug the USB connection and reconnect it, restart both the Jetson and my pc, but the Jetson is still not detected. I would appreciate your help.

The VM is not supported by SDK manager and JetPack supported, but some users did try to get it working, you can refer to below topic to see if can help: Let's make flashing from virtual machines reliable or try to have host PC with native Ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04.
