No boot screen on Orin NX p3509-a02+p3767-0000 with L4T 35.4

Hi Nvidia team,

I have updated my module to L4T 35.4 for a p3509-a02+p3767-0000 based carrier board. I applied the gpio pinmux patch for the HDMI output on mb1 dts discussed in the release note.

The board is booting and the HDMI output working fine. However, I don’t have the boot screen with the option to open the UEFI bios anymore. Moreover, and this is more problematic, when I strike ESC during startup, I don’t have the bios menu opening.

Is it a known issue?

Is L4T 36.2 subject to the same problem?

You mean the display is working when it boots into the kernel?

Please make sure the display cable is plugged-in when you flash the device.
It’d be the same for all Orin devices no matter whether you use HDMI or DP.
The bug is present on both 35.4.1 and 36.2, and we have already fixed it.

Hello DaveYYY, thank you for your reply. Yes the display is working once the kernel boots.

I didn’t notice L4T 35.5 was out, and indeed it fixed my issue. I now have the boot screen again. Thanks!
