Hi, I’m trying to use a GTX 570 in OpenSUSE. The machine is a Dell Inspiron 530, and I need to use the 570 purely for computations, since the computations seem to be corrupted by simultaneously using the card for video. The machines have integrated Intel video, but when I boot the BIOS complains that the video configuration is unsupported. Nevertheless, the boot can continue, with X starting properly, etc. However, in that case, I cannot start the nvidia kernel: modprobe nvidia declares “Error inserting nvidia: no such device”, while lspci does not list the 570 at all. Does anyone know how I can get the machine to recognize the presence of the nvidia card, while booting with the Intel integrated video?
