NV Jetson Module EVM Board HDMI2.0 Clock Rate TEST Fail in Textronic

We have custom carrier board for the nVIDIA Jetson Xavier Module
We Test HDMI 2.0 4K 60HZ,Under ㄣis Result and Summary:
We get Clock Rate:74.25MHZ Spec:85MHZ~150MHZ Result Fail
Do you know How to get Clock Rate PASS ?(Meet spec 85MHZ~150MHZ)
Because In the other Project we Test HDMI2.0 get All PASS (Fig3)

if you have and way please tell me
Thank you
Ryan

Hi Ryan,

This is probably software issue. Please share us the kernel log.

Dear WayneWWW
Please refer to Annex, Thanks

Hi,

You told us the problem happens around 74.25Mhz, so I guess your monitor is in 720p. But your log shows us a mode in 1080p. Could you clarify that?

HI Wayne
I repeat Our test condition and Environment.
DUT: NVIDIA Jetson Module EVM Board HDMI

Test Environment:
Scope: Tektronix MSO 73304DX /
Test Probe:Tektronix 13GHZ Differential in CH1/CH2/CH3/CH4
Test Program: HDMI compliance test software(Please follow under link)

HDMI 2.0 compliance test Result:
Clock Rate Fail:Measurement:74.25MHZ;Spec 85~150MHZ
Please Refer under two log file
xrandr_message.txt (959 Bytes)
log.txt (90.9 KB)
and Please reply me How to solving this Fail issue?
Thanks

Hi Wayne
Let me clarify our situation with you:
1.We did not do anything else with NV devkit during the HDMI2.0 compliance test.
2.74.25Mhz this error, we can provide the log to you later
3.Yes, we use NV Devkit for testing

我用中文跟你釐清一下我們狀況
1.我們單純測HDMI2.0 compliance test 過程中沒有對NV devkit做其他事情
2.74.25Mhz這段error 我們晚點可以提供log給您
3.對我們就是用NV Devkit做測試

Hi @shinkansen7001 @kimichang,

I see some error messages from your board and cause EDID fails to read. This is unclear to me because such issue is generally cased by hardware problem.

Is Tektronix MSO 73304DX connected with devkit through HDMI cable? Could you take a picture for me for this connection?

Also, what is the software release on devkit?

Hi Wayne
software release on devkit : Jetpack 4.3 (update USB 60.05 fw version)
The connection environment shown as below :

Hi kimichang,

The usb firmware should have nothing to do with this test. So it is okay.
Have you tried rel-32.4.4? If rel-32.4.4 also fails, could you share us the dmesg again?

Hi Wayne
Attachment are log files. Let me explain why had two files.
I found plug in and out HDMI plug , the EDID sometimes read the other value(297MHz).I am confused this situation.

log74.txt (88.3 KB) log297.txt (92.3 KB)

Hi,

the EDID sometimes read the other value(297MHz).I am confused this situation.

According to the log, the tegra is not able to read EDID at all. It just uses some hardcoded edid from our driver.

Is that a “must-have” step to hotplug the hdmi in each test? I see you have a unplugged log each time. Can we do this test without hotplug?

Hi Wayne
Remove hotplug and connecting to panel ensure the resolution is 4k@60, then change to Tektronix environment . it could be test and completed.
Thanks~
