On our Orin AGX using L4T 35.1.0, our nvargus camera daemon is crashing after a seemingly random amount of time. When this happens we are getting images from the 6 cameras using the argus api in a way similar to the example 13_multi_camera. I attached the portion of /var/log/syslog from the crash. Also, we are using the libnvscf.so from this forum post instead of the default one that comes on the system.

hello jfk214,
could you please moving to the latest release, which include bug fixes for the camera functionality.
thanks
Hi Jerry,
Thanks for the reply. We are using a custom imx 264 camera driver that is currently only compatible with L4T 35.1.0 and it would cost us additional money to get an updated driver for another L4T release from the company we purchased it from so we would like to avoid that if possible. Can you identify the cause of the issue from the crash log?
hello jfk214,
that’s timeout failures, it may due to sensor is not sending frames, or intermittent MIPI signal.
may I know how many cameras in your system, could you please confirm they’re working normally individually?
Hi Jerry,
On our Orin AGX, we are using 6 cameras at the same time. We have verified that they are all working individually (or at least in pairs since one is configured to be the master and the other five are configured to be slaves and the master camera has to be running to get images from the slave cameras.) On my other post about the Xavier NX, we are only running one camera.
hello jfk214,
please moving to the latest JetPack release, Jetpack-5.1.1/l4t-r35.3.1 for checking 6 camera use-case on AGX Orin.
