NVAVP kernel driver in TX1

Hi,

I would like to know if NVAVP driver is not existed on TX1 ?
Or if it is not necessary to enable this driver in kernel ?
(Default OS doesn’t enable CONFIG_TEGRA_NVAVP)

I tried to search the document and I only see:

•usr/lib/<ABI_directory>/tegra/
libnvavp.so

•User-space interface to the AVP for
audio/video acceleration via the nvavp
kernel driver.

Could you please tell where the nvavp kernel driver is ?

Hi Tonie, it is a HW in TK1, not in TX1/TX2.

So you mean TX1 does not need to have AVP driver ???

No, we don’t need it after booting to kernel.

I read user guide and it said :

Can this be used by Chromium?
Is there any API spec. for this ?

My customer would like to have Chromium to access it.
I believe they want to have ‘hw acceleration’ in Chromium.
Is there any alternate solution for this requirement ?
