NVENC compatibility with NVS

Hi,

I’m looking for information about the compatibility between the NVENC functionalities and the NVS family (especially NVS 810).

Regarding NVENC framework supported matrix (https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-decode-gpu-support-matrix) and the main NVIDIA documentation (https://www.nvidia.fr/object/nvs-graphics-card-specs-fr.html), no information are given for NVS platforms.

I’m mainly looking after the maximum number of encoding/decoding streams supported by NVS cards.

Is there someone who have this information ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Vince

The NVS 810 uses the GM107 chip.

Does this help answer your question?

Best,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Yes! Your answer helped me ;-)

However, I notice in the NVENC framework supported matrix that several Quadro cards which use the GM107 chip do not have the same restriction regarding the allowed number of concurrent encoding sessions.
For example, the Quadro K1200 allows a maximum of 2 concurrent sessions since the Quadro K2200 is not restricted at all.

Do you know in which case the NVS 810 is ?

All the best,
Vince

Hi Vince,

The NVS 810 is limited to 2 sessions.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Perfect, thanks a lot for your answer.

All the best,
Vince
