NVIDIA 2070 Super not properly identified on linux

Hello,

I updated my server from GTX 780 Ti to 2070 SUPER, however the freshly installed cuda toolkit (10.2)
does not recognise the card… After running nsight I have a message “no cuda devices detected”. I looked at a number of threads at the forum and could not find solution that fits my problem. I did the usual:

[s@lhcbgpu2 ~]$ sudo lspci |grep -i nv
[sudo] password for szumlat:
03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1e84 (rev a1)
03:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation Device 10f8 (rev a1)
03:00.2 USB controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1ad8 (rev a1)
03:00.3 Serial bus controller [0c80]: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1ad9 (rev a1)

and

[s@lhcbgpu2 ~]$ sudo dmesg |grep NVRM
[ 12.276176] NVRM: loading NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 440.33.01 Wed Nov 13 00:00:22 UTC 2019

These look fine I believe… Could you advise anything?

Best, Tomasz
