Nvidia 319.23 + linux 3.9.3 = unable to handle null pointer deference

Dell inspiron 17r se 7720 (650m)
I use Arch Linux
When I use gpu offloading (optimus) Xorg freezes after 30 seconds - 5 minutes and then I see this:

External Media

BUG unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at....

On 319.17 system also freezes randomly but continues to work after switching to tty and back
On ubuntu 13.04 kernel 3.9.1 (custom without patches ) an Xorg (ppa:xorg-edgers) system works pretty well with 319.17

Can you please generate and attach an nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file? It’s okay if you generate it after rebooting.

319.17

WWW123, On Ubuntu 13.04 is it reproduce with kernel https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.x/linux-3.9.3.tar.gz ?

I have a similiar issue too. As a workaround going into suspend and waking up is fixing this for me.

Before suspending a modprobe nvidia command will result into a null pointer dereference, but after suspend it works as long as not tried before suspend.

319.23 nvidia-drivers
13.3 xorg-server
3.10-rc5 Linux
Gentoo Linux
i7-4700MQ
16GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM

karolherbst, Please attach nvidia bug report ?

same as here: [url]Gainward Geforce GTX 770 Phantom 2GB half clock speed. - Linux - NVIDIA Developer Forums

I will put the dmesg stuff here, but I have to reboot first, because it only occurse before I suspended. My intel card works just fine and I can use the nvidia card after a suspend ;)
nvidia.crash.txt (7.16 KB)

I have attached the file to me previous comment

EDIT: sorry, I had a wrong link above, I’ve fixed that

for me my null pointer dereference is gone with 325.08
