NVIDIA 5060 egpu with Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS

Hi everyone,

I got a egpu (Razer Core x with a nvidia 5060) which I try to connect to Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.

I connected the egpu, installed the nvidia drivers (via Software & Updates - Additional Drivers). I rebooted the device and the monitor which is connected via display port is working.

The problem:
The monitor that is connected to the egpu is showing up correctly, but there are visual artifacts already on the Ubuntu desktop.

I think something is not properly setup, but I have no idea how to troubleshoot this.

Can you help me to further troubleshoot this?

hello Manuel,

You can consider yourself a lucky man, because at least you have a picture on your monitor. With the same Ubuntu 24.04.03 system and the RTX 5060 graphics card, it only ends with a blank black monitor and a total crash of “Wayland,” with no graphics.

my nvidia-bug-report is here available and can only wait for working.
