hi axel - thanks for posting.
we need more information than that to help you troubleshoot.
for example, what version of ubuntu are you trying to install on?
did you follow the local ubuntu installation instructions here?
Install AI Workbench Locally on Ubuntu - NVIDIA Docs
if you did the follow the instructions, then use the documentation here to find and send us the log files.
send them to aiworkbench-ea@nvidia.com so we can look at them.
make sure to include a link to this ticket so we can associate them.
I’m seeing the same Application error with Ubuntu. I’ve tried Ubuntu 24.04.05, 22.04.06, and 24.04.01. Just for clarity I ran $sudo apt install fuse3 libfuse2 before trying to run NVIDIA-AI-Workbench-x86_64.AppImage.
Thanks for the rereply Ii iam usiing

ok. this is a known issue that we have a bug fix in for.
Error happens here:
[2024-09-28 14:19:51.164] [error] (check-host) Command failed: /home/<user-name>/.nvwb/bin/wb-svc info an error occurred while checking server info. try again: failed to load host state: Failed to check git-xet state: bash: line 1: git: command not found
xet
as a Git-LFS alternative we were experimenting with and in some cases it’s getting triggered during installation.
Two questions:
- Is Git already installed on the system?
- If not, then can you install it manually and run the installer again?
