Here is the bug report log, after an update nvidia-smi started throwing
“NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.”
Even after reinstalling OS from scratch problem still persists when it worked flawlessly before any help would be appreciated
After experimenting installing the latest nvidia-beta and nvidia-utils-beta resolved the issue, seems like the main release was the issue
