Hello everyone! I’m from Russia, so sorry for my English. I have MSI laptop with GTX950m. And i want to install nvidia-drivers - it kills any linux distrs( Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, Arch and Fedora(current)). What should i do to install nvidia drivers?
Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root and attach the resulting tar.gz file to your post. Hovering the mouse over an existing post will reveal a paperclip icon.
Same problem here. I can’t boot into Xubuntu when i use the privative drivers with my a GTX950m. I sent you my report too.
TUTORIAL
Here is a tutorial in case you have the same problem and want to report it (and fix your computer in the process):
- Install the privative drivers
- Reboot pressing shift
- Choose advanced options and recovery
- Choose recovery console
- run /usr/bin/nvidia-bug-report.sh
- run apt-install purge nvidia*
- run reboot
Now you can log into your session like usual, and submit the generated file to linux-bugs@nvidia.com
