Hi,

I am running License Client Manager version 5.1.0 and it is showing licensed clients by mac address only, i.e. Client ID is mac address of licensed client. Is there any way of getting any data other than mac, hostname or ip address for example, that would help identify what client machine? I do understand that mac address is unique identifier but locating machines by mac is neither convenient nor scalable.

Hi,

currently there is no other way. We had VM name in a former release from Flexera but it was a vendor decision to remove it in the current versions.

Thank you Simon, that explains. Unfortunately it means that it is close to impossible to figure out what is holding allocated license in some cases, but well - vendor decision.
