Hello NVIDIA Support Team,
I am writing to request a rate limit increase for my NVIDIA NIM API account to improve development and testing performance for my application.
Account Details:
- Account Email: ryanmint70@gmail.com
- API Key ID (Last 4 chars): qt6e
- Current Limit: 40 RPM
- Requested Limit: 200 RPM (or the next available higher tier for individual developers)
Use Case:
I am developing a creative writing assistant application focused on:
- Collecting and organizing novel ideas
- Building structured storyboards from those ideas
- Generating first-draft scenes and chapters
A single user workflow often involves multiple sequential NIM calls, such as:
- Expanding rough ideas into more detailed concepts
- Refining and restructuring outlines and story beats
- Checking character and story consistency across scenes
- Drafting scene-level text from the storyboard
Reason for Increase:
Because each user action can trigger several chained API calls, the default 40 RPM limit quickly becomes a bottleneck during development and testing. I frequently hit 429 (Too Many Requests) errors when:
- Iterating on prompts and system instructions
- Running end-to-end tests of multi-step story workflows
- Comparing different model settings and flows
This slows down the feedback loop and makes it difficult to validate the overall user experience. Increasing the limit to around 200 RPM (or the next suitable tier) would materially improve stability and allow me to:
- Run full workflows without frequent rate limit interruptions
- Test more realistic multi-step usage patterns
- Iterate faster on prompt design and application behavior
Intended Use:
This higher rate limit would be used for personal development, testing, and refinement of the creative writing assistant application. It is not for large-scale production traffic at this time.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
