NVIDIA Orin in Space Environments

I am currently working on a satellite based Earth observation project and am evaluating the use of
the NVIDIA Orin platform as part of our Edge AI system. As part of our system design,
we need to ensure that the hardware can withstand the challenging conditions of space, including thermal radiation exposure.

Could anyone kindly provide any documentation or details regarding whether the NVIDIA Orin platform (or other relevant NVIDIA hardware)
has been tested or validated for thermal radiation in space environments? Specifically, I am interested in any information on
the thermal dissipation capabilities, radiation tolerance, or relevant space qualification testing that may have been conducted.

Any insights or references to relevant documents or studies would be greatly appreciated as they will aid in
our decision making process for selecting the appropriate hardware for our mission.

thanks.

Hi,

We don’t get involved in any radiation testing, you may refer to our partners eg. AiTech - will be ready with Orin in Q1 2025.

thank you for your respnse.
is nvidia open to exploring a partnership for space based AI project ? if so I’d be happy to discuss further.

That might be under planning, but I don’t have any details to share.
You may join the partner day or AI summit events to talk with our representative there.

Thanks
