Nvidia-powerd fails to start on 4060

I find setting platform-profile actually works, although power cap won’t increase when I set profile to performance, but it do decrease to 33watts when I set profile to quiet

Nevertheless, performance doesn’t work.

Reporting the same with GU605MY. nvidia-powerd doesn’t start with the same error. Nvidia driver works on windows.

nvidia-smi changes wattage on platform profile change, but nvidia power boost doesn’t work because powerd doesn’t start.

Hi @generix , sorry for ping you. I tried to strace nvidia-powerd, and find that nvidia-powerd tries to ioctl file descriptor -1

Hi All,
We have a bug 4765534 filed internally for tracking purpose. We do have local repro and root caused the issue.
Fix will be incorporated in future release drivers.

However, it’s not fixed on Windows driver. Idle will report about 52W on 4060.
