NVIDIA SDK Manager for VM?

The USB device is not detected when running NVIDIA SDK Manager on my virtual machine. I am using VMWare on my Windows Host. The Windows Host detects the USB connection, but the VM does not.

I saw someone made a Docker-based solution, but I would like to try using NVIDIA SDK Manager application on my virtual machine. Does anyone know how to configure the environment to get this working? Any help would be appreciated.

VMs are not officially supported. It would be up to VMWare to support this, but the issue is that USB repeatedly disconnects and reconnects during a flash, but VMs tend to not pick up the reconnect…nothing SDKM can do about that. If you can configure to always give the USB device to the VM then you would probably be able to get it to work.
