NVidia SDK manager requires you to login every time, despite 'Stay logged in' being checked

After the latest update to the NVidia SDK manager logging in redirects you to the NVidia login page where you have to undergo a tedious captcha. That is fine if you have to do it every once in a while, but for me this happens every time I restart the SDK manager.

It doesn’t matter that I have selected the Stay logged in checkbox, every time I open the application I get redirected to the website and I have to re-login.

Is this the expected behavior or a bug?
