When I set the fan speed (using coolbits) below 50% then nvidia-settings is under the assumption that it has been set properly.
However, going by audible noise, and going by nvidia-smi I see that the fan speed will not go below 50% and nvtop will also never show a value below 50% so I think nvidia-settings has a bug.
Does it test the actual value, after setting it?
