Nvidia-smi output: No devices were found

I need some help on installing my 2080TI GPU with Linux 18.04.5.4-100-generic.

I have successful stopped Nouveau and am now running Nvidia driver kernel.

I have been fighting with this for the past week straight any help or direction would be super appreciated.

Figured it. Nvidia driver 470 is broken with 18.04-5.4-100-generic and a 2080ti GPU card.

Use the softer update tool in Linux go to additional drivers tab and switch to 450 driver.
