Hi,
what do you expect us to do? Which OEM supports 8xA6000 in their systems? I don’t wonder that you get thermal issues.
regards
Simon
Every vendor supports this configuration. Your snarky reply doesn’t move things forward.
Not related to OP though.
We are running into this same issue, it’s not thermals it’s an issue and can happen even with the GPUs at idle and well within their temp threshold.
This is happening for us on multiple systems. and we have heard from others of the same issue. Multiple different system manufacturers.
Unfortunately, I have to disagree. There is a single system in the market NVIDIA-certified and 3 others just “qualified”.
Please contact your OEM for this issue.
regards
Simon
The NVIDIA list has largely been abounded by vendors, even SMC doesn’t want to bother with it. So the NVqual list is hardly even looked at anymore.
Vendor self qualifying and NVqual are two different things. Since “tesla” line is the only thing people seem to be concerned about when it comes to NVqual it’s no surprise not many people are bothering.
The demand for things to be in NVqual has largely been lost and abandoned for non-Tesla configuration, you need to recognize that.
You are in the vGPU forum. vGPU is a software product that requires licensing and provides enterprise support.
So I fully disagree with your statement above. You can only expect support on qualified/certified systems.
In general, you can use the GPU in every system you want but you cannot complain about issues afterwards, especially if you run actively cooled GPUs in servers meant for Datacenter where you negatively influence the airflow of the server.
