Nvidia Toolkit with Podman

Using Ubuntu 22.04 and Podman 3.4.4 and the latest Nvidia Toolkit 1.17.3 and following the nvidia instructions I find that that GPU pass through to a container does not work. I have the following questions:

  1. Are the cuda libraries required to be installed, this is not mentioned in the vast articles I have read but I would appreciate clarification?

  2. I suspect my problem is the version of Podman, however with kubic no longer available where is the best sources for a newer version of Podman for production use?
