Hi guys,
I need some help on the old NVRM problem. I know there is many other related posts and I tried to follow up the solutions there, but none of it actually solved the problem.
I’m using a rather old mainboard microchip X10SLH-F with Bios Version 3.4 with an A30 GPU.
I know it’s a strange pairing but I got the GPU relatively cheap and I want to use it with what I have.
Ubuntu version 24.04.2 LTS.
What I have done:
- Enabled above 4G decoding
- There seems to be no general switch for EFI boot on the mainboard, but I switched the PCIe slots to EFI
- Re-install ubuntu and made sure it’s an EFI boot (at least I tried my best)
- Set pci=realloc and pci=realloc=off in the kernel settings
I reached the end of ideas what I could still do…
It would be absolutely fantastic if you could have a look at my logs and check if you find something that I’m missing!
Best wishes!
I created the nvidia bug report and a dmesg log (find attached).
