NvSIPL camera framerate change in drivers

Dear Nvidia Support,

Currently we use NvSIPL with cameras from different vendors. The cameras we use are running at 30 FPS and as far as I understand, NvSIPL does not support framerate configuration: Is it possible to set the capture framerate in the SIPL framework?

  • Is the capture frame rate camera driver specific?
  • In theory, is it possible for the camera vendor to trigger the cameras at a different frequency by modifying libnvsipl_qry_xx and libnvsipl_drv_xx in driver packages.

Thank you very much in advance for the information!

Best Regards,
Krisztian

Hi @krisztian.holman ,

I don’t have the answers to your questions yet but the two camera sensors (AR0231 and AR0144) used in DRIVE Hyperion do run at different frame rates (30 and 60 respectively). Thanks.

Dear @krisztian.holman,
Yes. The frame rate is specific to camera driver.
