nvvp handling application error

Has anyone else had this?
I run /usr/local/cuda-5.0/bin/nvvp fill in the “new session” form (under “file”) and start.
my application immediately fails but before I can work out why nvpp destroys the
error message. It turns out to be easy to fix but it would have been nice to see
the error message.

Two more irritations I have found with nvvp:

  1. It would be nice if the “new session” form ignored leading and trailing white space.
Yes it can be removed by hand but only if your eyesight is good enough to spot it
got inserted (cut-n-paste) in the first place.
  2. It would be nice (the unix version) respected the PATH variable, so I would not
need to cut and paste in the long list of directories in the first place.

    (still making progress…)

I would suggest filing bug reports and / or enhancement requests through the bug reporting form linked from the registered developer website. That is the path by which issues get entered into a prioritized task queue.

CUDA/GPU Bug reported (id 398395).
