Old community edition expiration issue

Hi,

I currently have the PGI 18.10 community edition installed on our GPU system to run our codes.
Recently, when I try to re-compile the code I get “license expired” warnings for CPU codes and “feature expired” messages for GPU codes that quit the compilation.

I understand that the community edition licenses are time-limited when a new version comes out.

However, in our case, the 19.4 edition has some bugs that prevent us from using our code without careful workarounds. Therefore, I cannot upgrade to it but I also cannot keep 18.10.

Although I suspect 19.10 will be out soon, is there a possibility to change the license time-out from being 2-releases (or a year?) to a longer time period (maybe 4-releases/2-years)?

I can inquire to see what we can do about this. Is there a particular problem/TPR that is blocking you from updating to 19.10?

Hi,

There were a couple of problems.

One of them was solved in 19.9, the other is still not solved but there is a TPR on it.
We were able to find a work-around for that problem for the time-being.

Since 19.10 is not out yet, I cannot test it for the bug fixes.

Hi,

I just now saw that 19.10 has been released!

I am downloading and testing now.
