Omniverse extension - Python scripting component

Hi everyone,

I installed Aerial Omniverse 1.1, and it’s working well. However, I’d like to deploy RU and UE using Python scripting instead of the GUI - it would make things much more efficient.

I came across the Omniverse Extension - Python scripting component (Python Scripting Component — Omniverse Extensions), but I couldn’t get it to work with AODT.

A couple of questions:

  • Is the Omniverse Extension compatible with AODT?
  • If yes, is there a guide for installing it? I couldn’t find the “Extension” menu in AODT.

Omniverse extensions are not supported in AODT 1.2.

As a follow-up question, can RU and UE be deployed programmatically?

While they could be deployed programmatically, full support is lagging. We will add a better support in 1.3. What is your hardware and what is your use case? Perhaps we can recommend an alternative approach.
