Hi, I’m new here!
I have been trying to figure out Omniverse and something is not working…
Maybe someone can help?
The problem is this, I have a VFX for my game, it’s made in Unity, I need to reduce the size of the Unitypackage file or somehow I can optimise it so that it hangs less through Omniverse? I cleaned up everything in the project and left the most needed files.
Hi there and welcome to the forum.
I can try to help you, but honestly your workflow sounds way outside our normal recommended use case.
This is a physics based digital simulation platform, ideally built for large industry in enterprise. This is not designed for a VFX workflow at all.
Additionally, I don’t know if you’re using our Omniverse / Unity connector or just trying to do it through native USD. I would need a lot more information. Is this some kind of baked file? Alembic?
I am curious. What exactly are you trying to achieve? You are creating VFX in unity and trying to bring them into Omniverse? What is the end goal?
You mentioned game. We do not support or endorse any workflow for game or game engines at all. This is not the intention of Omniverse.
Ideally you re-create the special effect inside of USD Composer. We have the best realtime physics and fluid solvers.
