Hi,
I am on Debian 12 with a KDE desktop, using X11.
The problem I have is my screen will lock up after I wake it up, it doesn’t actually sleep, the screens just turn off. My computer runs 24-7 as I use it as a security camera DVR as well.
I get the logins screen and mouse but no password box. If I switch TTY’s and then back, then the password box will come back and I can login fine. Also sometime TRL + ALT + Delete will also bring back the password box.
I have tried different NVIDIA driver versions and it does the same thing on all of them. The scenario might be a bit different but it all has to do with the screen locking after wakeing the screens after they been off. Currently on 555.58.02 that I downloaded from the NVIDIA website.
The only reason I am using NVIDIA drivers is because the standard drivers from Debian lets my GPU fan on high and it does not change speed depending on use, its on high all of the time it noticeably loud.
My computer is used only for work, browsing the web, and home use such as pictures and the likes., I am not a gamer. For work It is used to connect to a remote desktop with Remmina. Works great for that.
