OpenCL Drivers for CUDA 3.1

NVIDIA drivers (version 256.40) installed for CUDA 3.1 gives the following error while compiling the OpenCL deviceQuery code sample wheres CUDA examples work fine.

Error -1001 in clGetPlatformIDs Call !!!
!!! Error # -1000 (Unspecified Error) at line 42 , in file oclDeviceQuery.cpp !!!

Is there is a problem with the drivers?
