The default raspberry V2 camera board uses the stock lens which is M7.
If you want to use M12 or CS/C mount lens you need the following 8MP IMX219 camera board.

There are also lens kits, especially the low distrotions lenses.

Yes, they are. But should be carefully selected from application to application in terms of the FOV, optical format and etc.
