Orin NX Backup & Restore Issue

Hello Everyone!

I have Orin NX modules purchased on 28.09.2023 and 08.01.2025. I can take backups on these modules, but I am facing issues during the restore process. I am able to restore the backup from the 2023 model to another 2023 Orin NX, but I cannot restore it to the 2025 model. Similarly, I can restore backups from the 2025 model to another 2025 unit, but I cannot restore it to the 2023 model.

Additionally, I am using the same JetPack version for both dates. What could be the reason for this issue?

What is your JP version?
It might be a overlay issue since the later module using different dram configure leading to fail.

It might be an overlay issue in JP5.1
Could you upgrade to JP5.4 and do backup/restore steps to cross check whether the issue exist?

The project requires using Jetpack 5.1. Is there any overlay shared?

Hi,

We suggested using latest JP since we verified our dev kit in our side.
There is an overlay for JP5.1.1.
You could apply it and try to flash.
