Based on the provided context, it appears that you are trying to build the kernel for Jetson Orin NX 16G with JetPack 5.1.2 and Linux 5.10.120, and you have enabled the CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF option. However, the build fails with an error message indicating an unresolved symbol netlink_sock.
After reviewing the context, I found a relevant post that might be related to your issue: “Nvidia jetpack5.1.2 linux 5.10.120 build will fail if CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF=y” (June 4, 2025). This post suggests that there is a known issue with building the kernel with CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF enabled.
To resolve this issue, you can try disabling the CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF option and rebuilding the kernel. If you need to use the bpfstrace tool, you might need to explore alternative approaches or workarounds.
Additionally, I found another post that might be relevant: “Cannot cross compile CUDA samples and cutlass3.1.0 with JetPack Cross Compilation container” (June 4, 2025). Although this post is not directly related to your issue, it mentions difficulties with building and cross-compiling on Jetson platforms. You might want to review this post to see if there are any commonalities or insights that could help with your issue.
In comparison, I did not find any specific posts or issues related to the bpfstrace tool on Jetson Orin Nano or Jetson Orin NX platforms. However, I did find some posts related to kernel building and debugging on these platforms, which might be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.
To summarize:

thanks for your solution, I solved it.
Now I have installed the bpftrace tool and run the command below:
sudo bpftrace -e ‘tracepoint:sched:sched_switch { }’
but it failed and it reports:
unrecognized ELF section name 's_tracepoint_sched_sched_swithc_1'
libbpf: prog 'tracepoint_sched_sched_switch_1' failed to lode: -EINVAL
bpftrace version: v0.23.5
how to check it
