Yup! Same here! Same as last time. You would THINK something as relevant as graphics for 10.6.5 in the update itself would either have this in the update or be sure nVidia was ready to serve it up. Maybe when the Combo Update becomes available.
Sheesh, This is silly.

I am really beginning to hate NVIDIA and am seriously considering replacing my MBP for a custom built Mac with ATI Radeon graphics. I find it absolutely unfathomable that Mac OS X is still not in the list of supported operating systems and that updates are not available in a more expedient manner. Do they really care at all about the Mac users? If they are going to partner with a company they should be ready/able to offer the same services to its customers that it does to everyone else. I don’t find this to be the case and am more than unhappy with the concern they show about it. It feels like they treat Mac with a “they come second” attitude.

Apple seems to have thrown all their weight behind ATI which wouldn’t be so bad if they could keep up with the latest and greatest, All Macs are about 3 gens behind their PC counterparts when it comes to pro graphivs and that is simply inexcusable.
Can anyone say Hackintosh? I can.

Agreed, but I think it’s on the Mac end.
Apple selectively chooses which video card’s they will support. I believe Nvidia would welcome the support and expand it’s user base, the real blame here is Apple who keeps such tight controls on their equipment and how vendors can use their hardware.

Well the update is out, and no it’s Apple’s fault fo releasing an update without all the driver pieces out at the same time for the hardware they choose to put in their machines. Last time this happened it screwed up Final Cut Pro.

the cuba beta drivers for 10.6.5 go to end for 8800GT Cards
i have tested for 1 or 2 weeks ,and friday 1 december
→ just after starting macpro2008 , on the first bounce window
==> red trail all the screen ( DVI ) and lost refresh actions on windows
==> after LOST Frequency on LCD ( scan range ? ) and very bad half black and half white without any signal
==> i have one log of lost pipe fifo $6 in a kernel shutdown
time to appears : at 15mn and now about 2 ou 3 mn
i go back to my backup system 10.6.4 to see that card work again
==> you should BE VERY CAREFUL on card 8800 GT mac because the have died between one year or two years
→ specific EFI apple and FAN is required for most TESTING this CARD and DRIVERS on GT8800 Cards
