P5000 Notebook BSOD

Dell 7720, Windows 10, 2017 build date

I have-

DDU - full clean

CCleaner - full clean

Dell Recovery

Dell driver update

Nvidia driver update

Paid for current driver update

Roll back driver

Windows update

Removed ESET Antivirus

Have zero app on the system

Checked storage

Checked RAM

When I start up the GPU is disabled. When I enable the GPU the system has a BSOD, restarts, and then then starts. When I check the GPU It is disabled. Repeat and same process.

I am at a loss as to what I should do now. The only thing left is to bake the card but I’m thinking this is an urban legend.

Help!

Hello @acolemember , welcome to the NVIDIA developer community.

I am sorry to see that your post did not get any attention so far.

At this point my only suggestion would be to either get a refund from the vendor or contact Dell for an RMA. But I understand both of this might be difficult, given that this is a 5 to 6 year old design.

If a completely fresh installed Laptop like this with a current BIOS does not start up with the GPU enabled, it is very likely a HW issue. And yes, I would also consider “baking the GPU” and urban legend.

Thanks!

Hi, did you manage to solve the problem?
