“Pageflip timed out” on RTX 3080 TI (v. 580.95.05) after the system goes to sleep

When the system enters suspend-to-RAM (deep sleep), the nvidia drm warning appears in the journal as the last event before sleep. After waking up, the same warning is the first entry in the journal. I’m not sure yet if it’s reproducible.

As we see on the journal, 2:33am the system went to sleep and the error showed up, and 6:02 the system was opened, and the error showed up again. Naturally i didn’t get any signals to my displays.

15:46:56.566 UTC user@1000.service kwin_wayland_drm: atomic commit failed: Permission denied

Above is what kwin says upon initial suspend, and every driver action afterwards and upon wake up, seems to throw a pageflip. I suspect that it’s the problem. I hope this helps, devs.
