Pb of installation of nvidia-glG05.460.39 on opensuse 15.2

I have installed the opensuse 15.2 on a PC without the Nvidia Quadro P620 Card

After I installed the latest drivers with this command line :

zypper addrepo – refresh https.//donwload.nvidia.com/opensuse/leap/45.2 nvidia
zypper in nvidia-gl05

I put the nvidia Quadro P620 on the PC

When I started the PC , I have a black screen

After 1 min , I arrive to pass on a text console with Ctrl + F1

When I try to start x server with starts , the server X failed.

I try to log me in root and start the server x with startx, the starts runs

The driver seems to be loaded because when I enter a lsmod command, I can see the nvidia drivers.

I don’nt show error about nvidia when I enter dmesg

Do you have an idea why the startx doesn’t run on a no root account

Please check if your user(s) are meber of the video group.
Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root and attach the resulting nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file to your post.

My user are not a member of video group

I had my user to videao group.

Same effect

nvidia-bug-report.log.gz (1.2 MB)

Please post the output of
ls -l /dev/nvidia*
Please also check if the user gdm is member of the video group.

The gdm is well in the group video

The result of ls command ilsnvidiat (479 Bytes) s in the attach file lsnvida.txt

Yes , it is in file common-session

For information , the Xorg.log who can see in the nbug-repport corresponds at two try who I can have the server x:

The first with starts x in root

the second with uncommant WaylandEnable in the /etc/gdm/custom.conf

In the second case, i have a log screen but i can log with my account

For you information , to day , I do an other test:
First , I add my user in group video like you suggest above
Second, I decomment the line WayLandEnable=false in the custom.conf in /etc/gdm directory

In this case, startx is lauched corerctly and I can have access to the login screen.

Is it a normal ?
