Hi, I am trying to test cuPHY following this tutorial: Running cuBB End-to-End - NVIDIA Docs

  1. Can I run the test without the PCIe switch feature available on the mainboard? Maybe with reduced performance.
  2. Can I use an NIC card from another vendor that also has PTP feature?

  1. Yes, but the performance will be very poor. In my previous test (but more than one year ago) with A100+CX6Dx on Dell R750, I observed high FH packet delay rates, even with two cells.
  2. No, we rely on NVIDIA (Mellanox) NIC’s specific feature with PTP to send FH packets at the right time.
