Performance Warning: Backing up device or system memory to file. Replay may be very slow.

Hi all,

I’ve started getting the message “Performance Warning: Backing up device or system memory to file. Replay may be very slow.”, and then the profiler fails to launch any kernels when I profile a lattice boltzmann solver on larger domains using Nsight VS edition. The code still runs just fine when not profiling. I’m using v3.1 of Nsight VS edition, 5.5.11 of the tootlkit for windows 7/8 64-bit and the driver version is 320.20. Could it just be too much memory allocated to run all of the “profile cuda application” tests?

Sorted it, rather than gathering “all” of the metrics I selected only the ones I wanted. Not sure if there’s one metric in particular that fails at larger domain sizes or it’s just too many metrics for the profiler to handle.
