We are using Citrix XenApp 7.6 with the K1 GRID cards. The Hypervisor is VMware 5.5 and setup in pass-through mode. I then have had to assign each VDA a K1 vGPU.
It’s seems play back of videos is ok using applications like VLC, but video via YouTube and the BBC are not the best and can stutter which causes and issue with audio also.
Are the K1 cards built for this tupe of work?
Have a quick look at this, I could type it out again, but it’s easier to link:
Also, don’t forget to setup your Citrix Policies correctly.
K1 GPUs are ok for XenApp in Passthrough depending on the workload and the rest of the system. If everyone plays videos, then you may well run in to performance issues quite quickly and need something more powerful.
Let us know how you get on
Where is this a Citrix GPO as I can’t locate it
"Use the hardware default graphics adapter for all Remote Desktop Services sessions"
It’s a Windows Group Policy setting.
Should be here: Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Remote Session Environment
