We are looking to physically remove the Broadcom 4345 wifi/bt chip off the jetson tx1 development board. Has anyone tried this or know if any core functionality will be affected besides the wireless communication
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi cjon08, Did you mean BCM4354? It’s inside Jetson TX1 SoM.
Below is the SW way to disable it. FYI.

Vickyy,
yes we would like to remove the BCM chip if it is possible
Opening the Module invalidates the warranty of the module. Why do you need to do this?
The wireless capability is not permitted at our area and we’ve been told that facilities would be more comfortable if the chip was physically removed.
We are exploring other options
Thank you for your help
Hi Jonathan (cjon08),
Just a thought, but would your facilities people consider it acceptable if the antennas were replaced with terminators instead?
I don’t know how effective they would be at NOT being antennas.
